Framed vs No Frame: Which Paint by Numbers Kit Should You Choose?

The artwork is the same in both formats. The difference is how the numbered canvas arrives and how much setup you want before painting.

No Frame

The numbered canvas is supplied rolled without wooden stretcher bars. It is lighter to store and gives you the freedom to choose your own display method later. Before painting, secure it to a flat surface so the canvas does not move.

Framed

The canvas is already stretched over wooden bars, creating a firm painting surface with no assembly required. It can be hung after completion. “Framed” refers to the wooden stretcher structure; a decorative outer frame is not included.

Which is easier for a first project?

Choose Framed if you want the quickest setup and a stable surface. Choose No Frame if lower initial cost, compact storage or a custom display solution matters more.

Our current standard designs use the same 40 × 50 cm / 15.7 × 19.7 in artwork size in both formats.
